Terms of Service
Version 2.8, last updated 1 September 2026
1. Who we are and what these terms cover
These Terms of Service ("Terms") are a contract between you (the "Streamer" or "you") and Codetiles AB, a company registered in Sweden (org. no. 559586-2250, "Codetiles", "we", "us"), governing your use of bot-able, our AI-powered Twitch chat companion service, including the dashboard, chat bot, and any optional add-ons such as the Voice Companion desktop app (together, the "Service"). By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to these Terms and to our Privacy Policy, which is incorporated by reference.
2. Your account
You must have a valid Twitch account to use core features of bot-able, and you are responsible for keeping your bot-able login credentials secure. You are responsible for all activity that happens under your account, whether performed by you or anyone you allow to access it. Tell us immediately if you suspect unauthorized access.
3. Twitch compliance
bot-able operates within your Twitch channel using the Twitch API. You are responsible for ensuring that your own use of bot-able, and the bot's activity on your channel, complies with Twitch's Terms of Service, Community Guidelines, and any applicable Twitch Developer Agreement. Codetiles AB is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by Twitch or Amazon.
4. Acceptable use
You agree not to use bot-able to:
- Violate any applicable law, or Twitch's own rules
- Harass, threaten, defraud, or deceive viewers or other users
- Circumvent Twitch's or bot-able's rate limits, security measures, or access controls
- Attempt to extract, scrape, or misuse other Streamers' or viewers' data
- Send spam, malware, or unlawful content
- Reverse-engineer, resell, or white-label the Service without our written permission
We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate this section.
5. AI-generated content
bot-able uses AI (large language models) to generate chat replies, greetings, and other content posted in your channel. AI-generated content may occasionally be inaccurate, out of context, or otherwise imperfect. You are responsible for the content the bot posts in your channel, and you should review and configure the bot's behavior (commands, timers, stream bible, memory features) in a way you are comfortable with. You may disable or adjust AI features at any time via your dashboard. This includes any AI-generated text posted through the optional Discord integration, including announcements about streamers you choose to watch (Section 6).
This also applies to messages you type and send yourself through the chat composer in the Chat Monitor (previously called the Stream Companion). Although they are posted under the bot's account, they are your own words, sent at your direction, and you are responsible for them in the same way as any other message posted to your channel on your behalf.
If you upload alert sound files, you confirm that you have the right to use the audio you upload. You give us permission to store each file and play it back to you on your own devices for as long as you keep it, and we may remove a file we reasonably believe is unlawful or infringes someone else's rights.
6. Your responsibility for community data
Certain bot-able features (such as viewer memory and stream event history) involve the bot storing information about people in your chat who have not signed up for bot-able themselves. As explained in our Privacy Policy, you are the data controller for this community data, and Codetiles AB processes it on your behalf as a processor, strictly according to your instructions (as reflected in your bot-able settings) and the Privacy Policy. This means you are responsible for having a lawful basis to allow this processing in your community and for responding appropriately to requests from your viewers about their data, with our assistance as described in the Privacy Policy.
This also covers voice data captured by the optional Voice Companion. If your microphone may pick up co-streamers, guests or bystanders (for example on an IRL stream), you are responsible for having a lawful basis and for giving notice before their voice is captured and processed, just as with community chat data. Codetiles AB processes that audio strictly on your behalf and according to the Privacy Policy, and does not decide why or how it is captured.
The same applies if you use the optional location feature. Sharing where you are while other people are with you may reveal something about their whereabouts too, and you are responsible for using it in a way that respects the people around you.
You are also solely responsible for complying with any local laws applicable to your stream, including laws relating to recording, broadcasting, consent to being recorded or featured on stream, and similar matters. bot-able does not provide legal advice on these topics.
If you use the optional Discord integration, you are responsible for having the authority to connect our bot to the Discord server you choose (for example, being a server admin or having permission from one), and for your use of that server complying with Discord's own Terms of Service and Community Guidelines, in the same way Section 3 requires for Twitch.
If you choose to also announce when another Twitch streamer goes live ("watched streamers"), you are the data controller for that decision, as described in our Privacy Policy: you are responsible for having an appropriate basis to publish that streamer's public stream information, and any AI-generated text about it, to your Discord server, and for removing the watch if that streamer objects. bot-able only processes this on your instruction and has no relationship with the watched streamer.
If you enable the option to have a go-live announcement notify the whole Discord server rather than a specific role, you are responsible for using that option appropriately and in line with the rules of that Discord server.
If you run a giveaway, you are responsible for complying with any competition, lottery, or prize-promotion laws applicable to your giveaway, including any "no purchase necessary" or alternative-entry requirements that may apply in your audience's jurisdictions where extra entries are tied to gifted subs or bits. bot-able only provides the mechanism; you decide the rules and are responsible for running the giveaway lawfully, in the same way Twitch's own Community Guidelines already require of broadcasters running giveaways.
7. Voice Companion
If you choose to use the optional Voice Companion desktop app, your microphone audio is sent securely to Codetiles AB's own servers in the European Union to be transcribed into text. For this audio we act as your data processor: we process it only to produce a transcript, we do not store the audio, and we do not use it for any other purpose, including training any model. This is explained in Section 11 of our Privacy Policy. You are responsible for obtaining any consent required from co-streamers, guests, or others whose voice may be captured by your microphone, under applicable law, as set out in Section 6.
8. Plans, billing and your right to withdraw
Where we can sell. bot-able paid plans are currently offered only to customers whose billing address is inside the European Union. If a purchase is completed with a billing address outside the EU, we refund it in full automatically and the subscription is cancelled. You are not charged.
Free trial. New accounts get a 14 day trial of the Standard features. No card is required, the trial does not turn into a paid plan by itself, and nothing is charged when it ends. The desktop voice companion is never included in the trial. The trial includes a limited taste of read-aloud on the standard voice, with its own trial-sized allowance; the full read-aloud add-on, including the premium voices, is not included in the trial. When the trial ends, the bot keeps running with the non-AI features (commands, timers, Twitch helpers and stream stats) and the AI features pause until you subscribe.
Subscriptions and add-ons. The Standard plan, which includes the desktop voice companion, and the optional read-aloud add-on are sold as monthly subscriptions at the prices shown on our pricing page and at checkout, including VAT where applicable. Payment is taken in advance for each month by our payment provider, Stripe, and renews automatically until you cancel. You can cancel at any time from your billing page; cancellation takes effect at the end of the period you have already paid for, and you keep full access until then. We do not refund part-used months, except where you exercise the right of withdrawal below or where the law requires it.
Fair use. The Standard plan includes a monthly fair-use allowance of AI usage, set at a level far above normal use. If you also subscribe to the read-aloud add-on, it comes with its own monthly fair-use allowance of read-aloud characters. If you reach an allowance, the affected features pause for the rest of the month and the bot falls back to the non-AI features, and you can buy an optional one-off top-up to continue. We never charge you more than your plan price without you choosing to buy a top-up. We may adjust the allowances from time to time to reflect our costs and typical usage; we will give reasonable notice of a reduction that would affect you.
Top-ups. A top-up is a one-off purchase that adds usage to the relevant allowance. Unused top-up allowance never expires and is not refundable once it has been used, other than under the right of withdrawal below.
Right of withdrawal (14 days). As a consumer in the EU you have the right to withdraw from a distance contract within 14 days of entering into it, without giving a reason, under the Swedish Distance and Off-Premises Contracts Act (distansavtalslagen). You can withdraw from a bot-able subscription using the withdrawal option on your billing page, or by contacting us at support@codetiles.com. We then cancel the subscription immediately and refund your payment in full, normally back to the card you paid with. By starting to use the Service during the withdrawal period you ask us to begin performance straight away; we nevertheless refund in full rather than charging for the days used.
Price changes and failed payments. We may change prices for future billing periods and will tell you by email before a change applies to you, so you can cancel first. If a payment fails, our payment provider retries the card over the following days and we email you about it; your plan keeps running during those attempts. If it still cannot be taken, the plan ends and the bot falls back to the non-AI features. Nothing is deleted.
9. Communications and marketing emails
As part of the Service, we send you emails related to your account, such as changes to these Terms or our Privacy Policy, and billing and trial notices. These are part of the Service and cannot be turned off while your account is active.
We may also send you marketing emails about bot-able features and updates. If you are an existing customer, we rely on the existing customer exemption under Swedish law to send you marketing about similar bot-able features unless you opt out. In all other cases, we only send marketing emails with your consent. You can unsubscribe at any time using the link in any marketing email, or by contacting support@codetiles.com.
10. Service changes and availability
We may change, suspend, or discontinue any part of the Service (including specific features) at any time. We will make reasonable efforts to give notice of material changes that affect you, but we do not guarantee that the Service will be available without interruption or free of errors.
11. No warranty
The Service is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including any implied warranty of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement, to the maximum extent permitted by applicable law.
12. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Codetiles AB will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of profits, revenue, data, or goodwill, arising from or related to your use of the Service. Our total liability for any claim arising from these Terms or the Service will not exceed the amount you paid us (if any) for the Service in the twelve months before the claim arose. Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot be limited under applicable law (such as liability for gross negligence, willful misconduct, or mandatory obligations under the GDPR).
13. Termination
You may stop using the Service at any time, and you can close your account by contacting us at support@codetiles.com. We may suspend or terminate your access if you materially breach these Terms, or as needed to comply with law or protect the Service or other users. On termination, we will handle your data as described in our Privacy Policy.
14. Governing law and disputes
These Terms are governed by the laws of Sweden, without regard to conflict-of-law principles. Any dispute arising from these Terms or the Service will be subject to the jurisdiction of the Swedish courts, without prejudice to any mandatory consumer-protection rules that may give you rights in your own country.
15. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. We will post the updated version here with a new "last updated" date, and where changes are material, we will make reasonable efforts to notify you (such as by email) before they take effect.
